Returns & Exchanges
We hope you love your purchase, but if something is not quite right, returning or exchanging an item is simple.
You can request a return or exchange within 14 days of receiving your order. Items must be returned unworn, unused, in original condition, with all tags attached and all original packaging included.
This policy is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
How to Request a Return or Exchange
If you checked out with an online account:
- Log in to your account
- Go to My Account > Orders
- Select the relevant order
- Click Request Return and follow the steps shown
If you checked out as a guest
- Please use the return slip enclosed in your original package, or contact us by email at info@number4.boutique

Return Timeframes
- Requests must be made within 14 days of delivery of your delivery arriving with you
- Returns requested outside this timeframe may be accepted at our discretion and may be offered as store credit only
Exchanges
If you need a different size or would like to swap for an alternative item, we will do our best to help, subject to stock availability.
If you would like a different style, you can return your original item for a refund or store credit, then place a new order separately.
Condition of Returns
Returned items must be:
- Unworn and unused
- In perfect condition
- With all tags still attached
- With all packaging included (including any dust bags, boxes and inserts where relevant)
We reserve the right to refuse a return, or to reduce the refund value, where items show signs of wear, damage, handling beyond what is necessary, missing tags, or missing packaging. If a return is refused, we can return the item to you at your cost.
Non Returnable Items
For hygiene and safety reasons, certain items may be non returnable. This may include:
- Fragrance or candles (where applicable)
- Earrings or intimate items (where applicable)
Any non returnable items will be clearly stated on the product page.
Refunds
Once your return is received and approved, we will process your refund to the original payment method.
Refund timing can vary depending on your payment provider, but please allow up to 10 working days for the funds to show in your account after processing.
Original delivery charges are not refundable unless the item is faulty or you have exercised your statutory right to cancel.
We also accept returns instore within 14 days.
Returning Your Item
You are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty.
We recommend using a tracked service. We are unable to accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you believe an item is faulty or you have received the wrong item, please contact us as soon as possible and we will resolve it quickly.
Delivery Information
We dispatch orders using a tracked first class service.
- Free delivery on orders over £250
- Delivery charges for orders under £250 will be shown at checkout
- In store collections must be collected within 48 hours
